My husband and I just recently drove up to Leavenworth from Monroe for our wedding anniversary.

The drive took a little over 1.5 hours from Monroe to the town of Leavenworth

Some quick facts about Leavenworth, according to Leavenworth.org

Leavenworth is a small, beautifully designed, old world Alpine/Bavarian style village. If you envision a small town, somewhere in Germany, nestled in a narrow valley and surrounded by snow-covered mountains. Leavenworth could be that very place.

We stayed at a cute little VRBO (vacation rental by owner) cabin with no more than a 20 min walk into town. There we had a beautiful view of the Wenatchee River. We started each morning with a cup of coffee staring out at the river and ended each evening hearing the water rush by and staring at the stars.

Leavenworth sports several outdoor activities such as hiking, golfing, fishing, camping, paddle boarding, and more.

Metador Network  gives you The Ultimate Four-Season Guide to Leavenworth. They mention the different activities for each season, from the beautiful wildflower hikes in the spring to exploring the depths of Leavenworth’s outdoors in the summertime to enjoying all the beautiful fall trees while driving through the Cascade Mountains and into Leavenworth. Then, finally, my personal favorite, winter, where you can enjoy the village of lights....

During the fall and winter holiday season (from Thanksgiving to Valentine’s Day), downtown Leavenworth is a dazzle of 500,000 Christmas lights wound in impossible clusters up the massive trees in the central square.

Here is a great photo of the river after my husband and I went tubing. All along the river are beautiful views of the Cascade mountains!

Leavenworth is definitely a place that everyone can enjoy every season.

But I also believe that Leavenworth is a place that a lot of people can invest in. I mentioned earlier that my husband and I stayed at a VRBO. There are several Airbnb's and VRBO's in Leavenworth. Since Leavenworth is a very touristy place, it could be a great idea to invest in a property there as a vacation rental, utilizing  Airbnb or VRBO. And a management company to make the investment truly “hands-off.” The truly exceptional benefit of Leavenworth as a place for income properties is the fact that it’s a destination ALL YEAR ROUND. There is no “off-season”! Imagine a place where you can earn income throughout the year, rather than one “peak” season.

If you’re thinking of looking for a property up in Leavenworth to buy so that you can turn it into an Airbnb or a VRBO (or simply just for yourself to stay in forever) please contact me so I can get you some more info. on some active properties in Leavenworth
